A short explanation of the problem and a link to this thread should be sufficient.

i exactly follwed the instructions of the support ticket i did the prompt command stuff and it seemed to work ok.
Then i dowloas again PT3 but i still have the same problem thats to say this waring message telling me 'Unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration'.

First time i tried before deleting in the prompt command i passed this step and then at the end of the postgre installation i had this message ' a non fatal error occured whilist loadind database modules. please check the installation login c:\users\admins\application data\local... for details.. this annoyed me a lot its been 3 days You and i trying to resolve it but no way

Please reply to the same ticket and follow-up there - it's much easier to deal with everything in one place, and if we need to arrange a remote session we'll do it via your ticket.

You can access your ticket via Support > My Tickets in the Side Navigation bar.

hi!

i have exactly same problem with 8.4 version.
'unable to connect to db. please check the configuration.' tried diffrent password, tried with no password, tried rebooting, reinstalling..
and when postgre is installed i get same message 'non-fatal error, check log files...' same thing. anyway, was curious if maybe you found the solution to his problem and that could help me too?

also tried to start it through start->services because it says it is stopped and it says 'the postgresql-8.4 service on Local Computer started and the stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.'

Please click Start type Event Viewer, and click on it when it appears. Go into the application section on the top right and look for errors relating to PostgreSQL and paste the error text for me here.

In that case please just create a support ticket for this issue and one of our technicians will take care of you until everything is installed and functional.
