I get this message after i open PT3:
Unable to create PostgreSQL database PT3_2011_10_11_000223
Reason unable to to login to database (template 1) Reason:FATAL password authentication for user postgres.
I am running XP and it seems I have both 8.3 and 8.4 installed...

I did that with no result.I get the same message. The only think that I didn't manage to do though was to reload configurations in the 8.3 version since there is no Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Reload Configurations path for 8.3 (only for 8.4).

No changes will be activated until you restart - you can either stop/start the service using Services from the Control Panel or just reboot to force it to restart. Does that make any difference?

New error message:
Unable to create PostgreSQL database:
PT3_2011_10_11_132308
Reason:Unable to login to database:
Reason: Server closed the connection unexpectedly. This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.

Please make sure your firewall and/or anti-virus software has an exception for PostgreSQL - otherwise that could be causing this sort of error.

I configured my AVG firewall and enabled the .exe related to PT3 and postgre (only one of the 4 mentioned at the firewall configuration tutorial seemed to be enabled in the first place)
rebooted, but still get the template1 error...

Then please create a
support ticket and attach the latest 4 or 5 files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.3\pg_log directory and we'll investigate further for you.

It says that when it's unable to connect and/or does not detect PostgreSQL as being installed.
