Bodog have again changed their client, taking away player names. Are there plans to update the grabber

This is the first I've heard of the issue and I'll make sure it gets looked into. In the meantime, please report this problem so that we can make certain you have automated notification when a fix is released.

Also, the hand grabber doesn't seem to grab any hands. At least, PT 3 doesn't attempt to import any hands from Bodog after the update.

It appears the tables have all become completely anonymous, as such there is no method to work around it. We cannot tell the difference between one player and another.

Isn't it possible to get stats for each position at the table? Even if it's temporary. You can wipe it when a player leaves.

Or are you saying that they took away the hand grabbing feature with their anonymous thingy

the grabber doesnt work but thats because they once again messed around with HH, it could be fixed to work while you are at the table, but long term stats would become useless obv

That's at least something. And if you can get it to work out who I am and keep all my stats so I can review my own game, that may be enough for me.

Fingers crossed that you're able to make this happen.

Cheers

Agreed. I can think of at least 3 reasons why it would be beneficial to update PT to work with Bodog's new format, even if we can no longer track stats on other players across sessions:

  • I could track opponents within a single session. Although everyone will be unknowns every time I sit at a table, after tracking hands for a while I have at least some information on the other players for the current session.
  • I could track my own playing stats so that I can continue to review my game and particular hands I played.
  • I would be aware when players leave the table. Imagine that I play at a particular table for an hour and get a decent read on a Player #4. If I sit out for a few hands to use the restroom or get some food, I could come back to a different Player #4 and not realize that my read is no longer applicable. Obviously, I would like to be aware when this happens.

However, for such an update to function, it would be crucial that PT be able to detect if a player leaves a seat during a hand and another player takes the same seat before the next hand is dealt. Otherwise, stats in a session could become muddled between players.

That being said, I'm not sure if I will continue to play at Bodog, though I played there profitably for months without using a tracker or HUD. I resent the loss of the notes I had taken, but the anonymous tables aren't a dealbreaker for me. On the other hand, the endless bugs and inconveniences that seem to be ubiquitous in this new release may be more than I can tolerate.
