Using Windows Explorer, go to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder and click on the Compatibility Files link/button at the top of the window.

In this comp. files folder do you see the files called ptrack.mdb and hhdb.mdb there? If so, what are the sizes and date/times of these files?

OK, click on the first file in that list.
Then hit the CTRL-A buttons together and it should then highlight every single file.
Then right-click and select "Copy" from the popup menu.
Now go to the "real" c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder and right-click in that folder and select "Paste" from the popup menu.
Try to run PT again as administrator, this time, it shouldn't tell you that the files couldn't be found because you just put them back in that folder.

All the files in the comp files are now listed under my PT V2 folder, but it still says it can't find
C:\Program Files\Poker Tracker V2\hhdb.mdb

I tried to copy and paste that file by itself but it says the file is already in the destination folder.

The folder that says Text Document in my comp. files is a list of errors. Should I try to copy this and send it to you.

I don't see how that's possible that you can get this error if the file was in the right folder. Are you sure you are looking at the actual c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder and not the comp. files folder? Are you sure you put that file in the right folder?

I went to all programs and right clicked on the folder that says Poker Tracker V2 I right clicked and pasted. I got a box that said it was copying the files.

Now if I click on the Poker Tracker V2 folder all the folders from the comp. files appear underneath.
Did I do something wrong?

I really don't care at this point if I lose anything. It's rally not that much stuff. I just want to be able to use PT and PAHUD if possible can I just start with a clean slate. How far out is PT3?

I thought I would try to copy and paste the comp. files again and got this, don't know if it helps.

OK we got it back. :D My PT opens and my PAHUD opened. If this happens again do I do the same thing with the comp. files?

I'm not even going to try to set up my PAHUD tonight that's another problem I'll work on tomorrow.

Thank you I really appreciate all your help I nver knew how busy you were till I came to the forum.

It shouldn't happen again as long as you run as admin...and run PokerAce that way too.

If you open PT or PA and aren't prompted by Vista to cancel/allow them to run remember to immediately close and reopen them using 'run as administrator'.
