Database seems empty after backup/restore

Postby randomwalker » Mon Jan 30, 2012 9:16 pm

Hello,

I have backed up and restored my database. I did it not through PokerTracker's mechanism but through PostgreSQL (because I am running my server on a linux machine and I could not do it in another way).

Now I can connect to the server, and browse the databases that are on it (it is one only, called PT3new). But when I pick my database, it looks like it is empty. I know it is not really empty, because I can see hand history data from inside pgAdmin3, and also Holdem Luck, which I was using to see EV graphs shows me normal graphs. I tried Database Housekeeping with all options ticked, but still empty.

Any ideas?

PS: I am using PostgreSQL 9.1.2 and PokerTracker Version 3.11.8 beta

Edit: If I did not tick the box "This database already exists", did I delete the data?

In PGAdmin do you see data in the player table?

Top 4 rows of table holdem_hand_summary (I can see more but not posting them here) indicates there are hands from my old data inside:

1;2500;1;16;409210322;"2011-06-13 21:52:41";"2011-07-10 19:09:57";4;2;0;0;7.53;9.25;0.00;0.00;0.60;0.03;0.01;0;3441;1;39;32;37;0;0;FALSE
2;2500;1;16;409210619;"2011-06-13 21:53:17";"2011-07-10 19:09:57";4;2;2;0;7.53;6.93;6.93;0.00;1.40;0.08;0.02;0;3443;2;5;12;52;33;0;FALSE
3;2500;1;16;409210911;"2011-06-13 21:53:49";"2011-07-10 19:09:57";3;2;0;0;6.93;6.83;0.00;0.00;0.20;0.01;0.00;0;3444;3;10;9;14;0;0;FALSE
4;2500;1;16;409211098;"2011-06-13 21:54:06";"2011-07-10 19:09:57";3;2;0;0;7.02;6.82;0.00;0.00;0.50;0.03;0.01;0;3444;4;1;15;22;0;0;FALSE

But players' table has only 15 players. Now that I look more carefully, these are my opponents from yesterday's session, in which I tried switching on auto import for some time. It should have had hundreds/thousands of players from my old database. I guess the players table was overwritten somehow.

Yeah that doesn't sound like the database was restored properly - have you tried restoring it again?
