Import exported hands from pt3

Hello,
I have exported my hand history from PT3 and tried to import it from "hard drive" to PT4.
It took about 12 hours to import 1,5 Mil hands (cash and Tourneys).
I noticed that only 2134 tounament summaries were imported over almost 25000.
For many sng's there is N/A type
As far as i can see there is no obvious problem for cash games.
if i just convert my PT3 database to PT4 will be my problem solved?

The conversion utility has a lot more information available to it and it should do a better job especially with tournament types and summaries, so I would recomend giving it a try.

i started yesterday a database conversion but i saw several errors in that procedure and i stopped it.
I will try this again to a new database in order to see the difference.
I think this is a major issue because it is too difficult to manually complete all sng's and mtt's summaries.

Please do keep us posted - we are putting in considerable effort into making the conversion as easy and simple as possible and if there are errors they are definitely things we want to address as soon as possible.

Hello,
While converting my PT3 database i noticed that the procedure froze without all my hands imported.
It says "imported 1.389.729 of 1.618.098 hands" tournament summaries are OK about the number of them but not the results.
it seems that both ways i tried give results with huge differnce with the PT3 data.
I have postgreSQL 8.4 installed.
What else should i try now?

Where do you get that message?

Its the pop up window when i choose from the setup assistant to convert my pt3 database.
keep in mind that there were many errors during this conversions (unreadable txt files)

Sometimes when importing tournaments PT4 can appear to be frozen but is in fact working diligently - how long did you let it sit at the screen in question?

i think that's not the issue here because i left it this way over 9 hours.
