lost hand history

I'm a bit of a computer dummy. I am running PT3 and the hud had stopped working; would not show at all. PT3 would import start of tournement and freeze at that point. I thought I could fix problem by hitting restore in PT. That got the program working but I lost 20,000 hands. Any way to get them back?

In what sense have you lost 20,000 hands? Hands which were imported into PT3, or hand history files? Assuming you mean in PT3, make sure that you don't have a filter enabled - click Clear.
