3bet by position

Postby dissie » Mon Feb 06, 2012 5:57 pm

Hi there,

I am pretty new to PT3 and trying to download a 3bet by position stat form the custom stats. The problem is that it's .rar file and I can't open it since I am a MAC user.

Does anyone know how to make it work?

Really would appreciate it.

There are applications available which will open .rar files on Mac - I haven't used any personally but a web search will give you plenty of options.
If you can't get anything to work please tell us exactly which set of stats you downloaded and we'll sort out the stat files for you.

Thank you for the answer.

The stats name is 3bet_by_position and is a popular custom stats. It should be able to show when opponents 3bet from CO, but, SB and BB. I think I could use the help ;)

For your information I have used the application Unachiver to open it and I have also imported the stats into PT3. They are just still flawed and doesn't work in the HUD - all custom non .rar. stats are working fine.

If you were able to import the stats then the files must have been OK. Did you update the cache after you imported the stats?
Do the stats work if you try them in a report (such as General > Player Statistics)?

I did update the cache and the stats doesnt seem to appear in the reports - neither in general or any other. I have tried to import a few times now and sometimes I get an error but it is imported anyway.

I would really like to post a screenshot here but I don't know how to paste it into there forums.

On the HuD all stats are working fine except those we are writing about. Unlike the others they don't give any info when you move the cursor to them. And unlike the others there is no number or the text N/A. Instead there is just the dividers /// but no visual stat.

Zip up the screenshot and attach it to a support ticket and we'll be able to get it that way.

I have shipped a ticket with a zip screenshot.

I like to ask one more thing. PT3 does currently not offer any stats that shows 3bet against a position. For example how often does a player 3bet against an opening raise from the button.

It's a great feature that I miss mostly. Please let me know if you are aware that such a stat exist. As far as I could read it will be a part of PT4. Is this correct?

Those stats cannot be built accurately in PT3 due to limitations of the database structure.

They are not just possible for PT4 but are built in by default and on our new default HUD (in the popup).

That is the plan - it will be easier to keep conversation about the issue in one place.
