Have you updated from Snow Leopard to Lion since you last used PT3?
(or made any other significant changes to your system?)

Do you have PostgreSQL in Applications?
If so, what happens when you try to start the service?

Right click on one of the databases (with the red X in your screenshot) and click Connect - can it connect?

no. the 2nd red x asks for a password too. ive tried postgrespass and dbpass. didnt work.

thats the message i get when i try to connect to either:

Server doesn't listen
The server doesn't accept connections: the connection library reports
could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

That means the server is not running then - if you run Start Server in the PostgreSQL folder in Applications, does it report the server starting successfully?

Then it sounds like some of the PostgreSQL apps (like PGAdmin) are installed but PostgreSQL no longer is - get it from here and run the installer (if it was installed by us, you want the 8.4.x version) and then things will likely start working properly for you.

now the hud doesnt work. ive downloaded the new beta. still no reaction.

for axample it says there is no party poker folder. i added the exact folder with hand histories in it and get the reaction as shown.
with stars it recognises the tables and the folder but simply doesnt show a hud.
