HUD and SSD

Postby Lakestone » Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:37 pm

I'm using a pretty advanced HUD, and sometimes it can take 5-10 hands before the HUD is being updated.
Right now I've got a quad core laptop of 2.0GHz and 4GB RAM with a regular 7200 RPM HDD.

Approximately how much of an improvement can I expect if I upgrade to one of the latest SSD's out there?

Regards

Is your cache at 100%? With that setup I'm surprised it's taking that long with an up to date cache.

Yeah I usually dome some housekeeping after each session. Anyway, will an SSD speed up the HUD performance? I must know so I don't invest in a new hard drive for nothing, since its for my poker-laptop only 8-).

It should - basically with improved read and write performance, everything improves.
