Can you search how you do against certain players?

I was just wondering if I could do a search against such players so I can put them into groups and come up with different strategies against them.

For instance, I might want to make a group that contain only people with 30-50% vpip

Is there a way of doing this?

You can do that kind of thing with custom filters in custom reports.
If you create a custom report in the Holdem Cash Player Statistics section (or tourney) and click the blue Filters link you can disable the Filter on Active Player option to see all players, then if you enter an expression like:

#VP$IP# >= 30 AND #VP$IP# <= 50

..that will show you all players in the range specified.
How you do this depends on what information you want to see.

Could you walk me through the steps to create a report which would show my stats against players with a vpip between 30 and 50? I usually use holdem manager but since they don't have this facility, I was thinking of giving PT3 a go. So this whole thing is quite alien to me.

You will need to add the Player stat to the report too.

One of the stats in the Available Stats list is "Player" - that's the name of the stat. Add that to your report (just like the other stats you've added).

Now, I am getting a list of players who's stats are between 30 and 50 vpip. However, I would like to generate a report of how my stats are Vs these players, such as, what is my bb/100 against players that have a vpip between 30-50? How would I go about doing that?

How would you define "against these players"?
You can filter for your own hands when one of these players was dealt in, or you both VPIPed, etc - exactly what would you want?

It may be because I'm not interpterring the results properly...I did a brief report and filtered for players between 30-50 vpip, this is what I got back:



At the very bottom I see -9.4bb/100 on aggregate...I'm sorry if this is hard to understand:

Is this the collective bb/100 of all those players. Or, is it MY bb/100 against these players?

That is their collective winrate - they are on average losing 9.4bb/100.
