Is your problem in PT3 or PT4? (you mention PT4, but this is the PT3 section so I'm not sure)
Assuming it's all for PT4, if you don't yet have a PT4 database with any data in it then it doesn't matter what version of PostgreSQL you use (although we don't yet officially support 9.1). If you want to set up a new version manually we currently recommend 9.0 - especially if you have 64-bit Windows as that has a 64-bit version.
If your backup is a PT3 database then you'll need to restore it in PT3 before you can convert the database to PT4. PT4 cannot read PT3 databases or backups directly, but will transfer data from existing PT3 databases into a PT4 database.
The error you show in red suggests that the PostgreSQL tuning setting has been a bit too aggressive for your system - try reverting the tuning (via Database > Database Management > Housekeeping) and then try again.
If that works please do the tuning again afterwards and then attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a
Support Ticket so that we can see what changes are applied and see if the settings need to be updated for systems like yours.
