Problems with PT3 and 888

Postby PokerNik » Sat Jun 23, 2012 3:57 pm

Hi guys,

This is my first post so forgive me if this has already been covered somewhere else. If it has, please link me to the discussion, but I haven't had much luck finding the solution to my problem.

I just downloaded Poker Tracker 3 from the site where it said it supposed the 888 Poker network. I'm a member of 888 (Canadian) and once I've finished installing Poker Tracker, and the PostgreSQL, the first thing that popped up in the wizard was to select the site I wish to connect to the PT. Poker 888/Pacific Poker was not on the list. I went ahead with something random, and then I checked the "Show Hidden Sites" box as well, but STILL no 888 Poker on the list.

So what am I doing wrong here and how I can get poker 888 to appear on this list?

Also, if anyone can help with this it would be great: when I login to my poker888 account, and go to Settins -> Game Settings. I can't see the "Keep my hands in..." section anywhere. So it almost seems like I won't be able to save my hand histories anywhere on the comp.

Please help, I feel pretty lost :(

Thank you.

What version of PT3 are you using? 888 has been included for a very long time so should definitely be in the list if you just downloaded PT3.

Note: 888 is not supported for auto import as there is no native Mac version of 888 (or it doesn't save hand histories, I don't remember for sure - if that has changed please let us know and we'll see about adding support).

On Windows, check out the 888 Configuration Guide for help setting up.

Thanks for replying.

The version I'm using is 3.12.1 and if I could attach a screenshot here you would see that poker888 is not on the list, even with the checked box. Not sure what I should do. I'll try re-installing it.

As for 888, I wasn't aware that it differentiates between Mac and Windows. I use Mac so that could be the issue. I've contacted their support about this so I'll see what kind of reply I get.

I know there must be a way for me to use PT with the 888 site and my Mac, there has to be a way, but for some reason I'm having a very hard time figuring it out.

Thanks for the help.

Are hand history files being written as you play?
If not, then there is nothing for PT3 to import.
