Please do turn logging on - a log file would be extremely helpful here and if we could get one moving forward it would be a great help.

Ok I did some testing to see when the high cpu consumption occurs: ( Ionly use truepoker)

-client closed - no problem
- problem started after 5 minutes playing, stopped and restarted import. Sitting alone at same table and problem started again.

Here is a link to the log file.

We have a known issue with increased CPU use when closing tables at Enet and the Winning software is very similar so this is probably the same issue.
Please open a Support Ticket and compress your log file before you attach it so that it is small enough to attach. That way we can link you into our system to follow up the issue.
Thanks

i am experiencing same high CPU utilzation like previous posters.

I had cpu logged off with Pt4 and stars running still and returned after hour or so.

My CPU is at 45 - 60 % with pokerTracker4.exe *32 using up alomost all of it. closed stars and still no change.

Don't know what's going on but definietly something is from previous players complaints and different poker clients too.

BTW, using still .21 Bets, did not upgrade.

Tried a refresh on PT4 and shut down Stars and no affect.

EDIT**: Stopped IMPORT and everything back to normal.

Your import is still buggy !

It not only duplicates imports without moving procesed files but it also goes into a endless search for import files (it appears) and kills the CPU load.

Waited since last post, started import again w/o changing anything and everything works fine (including restarting stars).

Import is your problem !

something else:

i just went into the log file to check to see what was happenning at the time i was posting with problems and PT4 has OVERWRITTEN the log file.

The log file starts when i restarted PT4 at a later time and it erased the previous contents.

I restarted PT4 at 10 PM aprox and this is the first entries in my log file:

2012/07/03 22:04:19.796 [00001]: [- Main -][System] PokerTracker v4.01.21 beta
2012/07/03 22:04:19.796 [00000]: [- Main -][SystemInfo] OS: Windows 7 (build 7601, Service Pack 1), 64-bit edition
2012/07/03 22:04:19.796 [00000]: [- Main -][SystemInfo] Windows Version: 6.1 build 7601 (platform 2) Service Pack 1

Everything previous was deleted by PT4.

That's the way logging works... a new file created each time you start PT4 (IIRC). If you have a PT4 crash/problem it's best to copy the current log off to, say, your desktop B4 you restart PT4.

Also notice the CPU after importing from a directory. The load was consistently about 80% while imports of the log was completed.

Please open a Support Ticket and describe the steps you take to reproduce this problem. If we can reproduce this we should be able to address it, but I'm not currently seeing this behaviour.

Sorry Whiterider, the only way i reproduced (stumbled on) this problem was leave PT4 & Stars running, switch user / and went outside to cook a BBQ and drink some beer for an hour. Returned, logged on, and CPU at 45-60 %. First time I had seen this problem, but if it's intermitent, then I can see how the other players are getting it.

That's all the info that I have for you.
