Upgrade PT3 to PT4 + new pc

I have 330K hands on PT3 on my old system that I would like to move to my new system with PT4. I'm not sure how. I have been searching the forum and your tutorials but haven't found an answer. Do I need to use my 2nd licence and install PT4 on my old system then update the hands from 3 to 4 then backup & restore and transfer the hands to my new PC?

If this is the best way, if I unistall PT4 on my old system after i'm done with it do I get my 2nd licence back?

would it make more sense to download PT3 to new system then transfer files from PC to PC then convert hands from 3 to 4 ?

Each registration code (PT3 and PT4) is valid for use on up to two machines at the same time - and if you uninstall from one machine that installation no longer counts against you.

What's probably easiest in terms of work for you is to download PT4 to the machine with PT3 on it now and use our built in PT3 -> PT4 conversion. Once that conversion is finished you can backup the PT4 system and then install PT4 on your new machine and restore from the backup.

Is this a password problem or do i need to separately download a particular version of postgresSQL or is it something else..

PT4 can work with any version of PostgreSQL that PT3 works with. Try using the password postgrespass and see if that works.

Can you still connect and see your data in PT3?

If so, look open Notepad and in it open the file C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Data\Config\PokerTracker.cfg - look in the [Database] section and make the details there match in PT4.
