Problems importing hands

I understand what you say, but the problem is i only have about 3k hands imported and it already takes up 30k+ gb ?

I used PT3 before with over 500k hands and it did not consume this much space, i know this.

There has to be a flaw with the latest version of Poker Tracker, it makes no logic to consume this much space.

PT4 databases are slightly bigger than PT3, but not significantly.
Do you have other databases on your system?

Well, all posts made in this thread i mentioned PT3, and i reffered to using PT3 for over 2 years but had a break from it for 9 months and i reffered to the latest updates to PT3 because before i didn`t have this problem.

No other DB on computer, reinstalled PT3 and postgres as i mentioned earlier, it worked fine for a day or two, but then again 30gb of space and all that ...
I read somewhere but don`t recall well, that there is a way to stop postgres to use this much space, changing data in a .inf file. Could you direct me in doing something like this or is this not a sollution ?


I mention again that i do not find it normal for PT3 to load 3k files and use 35gb of space... thanks !

Do you have other databases in the system? If you used other databases and removed them but did not delete them they would still exist taking up space.

Do you have other programs that might use PostgreSQL (like HM or HM2)? If so their data takes up space as well.

Hi, i have to make another update as this is bugging me and i think i will have to go with hem trial.

So, i am not having any more problems with the DB taking over 30gb, i did not do anything it just stopped clogging my harddisk.

BUT, i am having the same problem. I make a new DB, delete the old one and with this new one i manually import all the hands sent by PStars let`s say, it works fine, i get the auto-import but it only works for a day or two.

Yesterday it stopped working,i reimported all my hands, it worked BUT today autoimport is not working again:

Hands are not importing as i am playing, session stats are not updating, HUD worked fine for 20hands, now it just froze and is not moving, altough hands are played and tables are changed .



The file where hands are saved is OK, language is in English, i have the latest PT3 and postgres, i only have 1 active DB and also there are not a lot of hands and i also cached and indexed DB last night.


It seems i can make a new DB, manually import some hands, but then if i try to load another .txt notepad with hands sent from PS it just shows files imported 1, but displays hands imported 0 for a long time and does not load, even if there is only 1 hand. The hands are fine, i can make a new DB and load them, but then again if i load another document with hands, it just loads for forever and no hands are imported.
