importing pt3 hud

I have a custom pt3 hud that I have spend countless hours creating. I would like to import it into pt4. I read the page on your site that says the following...

"Some users will encounter issues when trying to import a PokerTracker 3 HUD with custom stats. This is primarily due to the exact custom stat's definition not being present in PT4. One option is to import the custom statistic into PokerTracker 4, which is discussed later in this guide.
At this time, PokerTracker suggests that you either use one of the built-in PT4 HUDs, or rebuild your PT3 HUD in PT4. The built-in HUDs are very powerful and provide numerous ways to display statistics. And rebuilding/customizing HUDs in PokerTracker 4 is very simple and intuitive. For more information on customizing a PT4 HUD, click here."


Is the bold advice still current? Or if I take the time to instal and purchase pt4, will my pt3 crazy custom stats hud work just fine now in pt4? Thanks!

Most will, but it's possible some will not. If you tell me a bit about your stats I'll be able to give you a better idea as to which will and which won't. However, as it says in the piece you quoted, we have quite a few new stats in PT4 and every stat can be put in any one of 6 positions (EP/MP/CO/BTN/SB/BB) and any postflop stat can be put in IP or OOP so that may remove your need for a considerable number of custom stats.
