Can't start up - bad allocation error

Postby Floptracker » Sat Oct 06, 2012 6:08 am

Recently i stoped being able to startup Pokertracker 4. I have to restart my system 4 ou 5 times before i can get it startup. This is the error message:

PokerTracker has detected an out of memory condition.
PokerTracker will now attempt to close to prevent data loss.

An error occurred during startup.
Exception: bad allocation

This same error also ocures when adding a new buddy to buddy list.

Can you help me fix this? I re-instaled PT4 and the problem remains.

My specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate
PostgreSQL 8.4
Athlon x2 250 (3.0 GHz)
2GB RAM

Thx guys.

Are you getting the crash reporter when PT4 starts up?

No. When it starts it goes normally without any report.

When you do get it running please turn Logging on via Configure -> Options and attempt to recreate the problem. If you can get us a PokerTracker4.log file from this error that would help us immensely in figuring out where things are going wrong.

Then please do the same - the more reports we can get of issues like this the easier it will be for us to figure out what we need to do to get things working properly for you.

Yes, the log file name is PokerTracker4.log. You can open the correct folder via the menu File > Open User Data Folder. The file is directly in that folder, not in the Logs subfolder. It may appear as "PokerTracker (Text Document)" if you have file extensions turned off.

Hi, i still cant start PT4 after several pc restarts, a crash reporter appeared couple of times, also i noticed that RAM usage jumps to 100% while PT4 tries to start...

Did you submit the crash report? I just went through the last couple of days worth of reports and I don't see any submissions that match your email address on file.
