I'm about to buy Poker Tracker but I always want to stay a bit anonymously.
The main reason is that there is always something that might go wrong for example:
Pokertracker online website database gets hacked.
I'm being a bit paranoid maybe, but then some hacker could just spread it all out with my official poker nickname, linked to my real name.
Then people can start googling my real name and see that I'm a poker player and look up how much money I make with poker.
Or they might use my nickname / real name combination to forge my identity to request a password reset or something on the Pokersites where I play.
To cut the story short:
I always prefer to use a fake name when registering poker-related accounts, or just for any account in general on the internet.
So my question is:
Am I allowed to create an account for PokerTracker where I do my purchase and stuff, with a fake name?
Like, am I allowed to call myself "Full Name" or "Fake Name" or "Anonymous User" in the "Full Name" column ?
I'm not sure why the "Full Name" is an obligatory field, and I'm just asking here to share my concerns and to know how important or unimportant the "Full Name" field really is.
Don't worry, I will buy PokerTracker regardless of your answer.
It's just, I'll be using a fake name whenever and wherever I legally can, that's all. ( I use my real name on the poker sites themselves because they require your identity card and such )
Thanks
