The startup error still remaisn. The defrag didnt work. I've sent a ticket about that and will try to recreat the buddy error and sent a ticket about that too.

I have tried reinstalling PT4 but still get the error at start up? Any help appreciated.

Please follow these directions from earlier in this thread as it is likely that you have the same issue and this will allow us to get you working again ASAP.

I can't even open PT4 to get to this file? Surely with a complete re install too my buddies file will now be deleted?

Wait - I've found it. I have an open ticket so will attach it to that.

I'm unable to attach the buddy file to my support ticket - have tried three times now but everytime I attempt to upload it it finishes the upload and kicks me back to the support homepage?

Is there another way I can send it to you?

Zip it up first as explained here then attach the zip file and it will attach.
