Deactivate Popup Groups!

Is it possible to deactivate the HUD popup groups or do I have to delete them?

You could de-link them from the on table groups and then they wouldn't pop up but they'd still be in the profile. To do this go to the Table Groups page of the Hud Profile Editor and click on the group that shows on the table. Change to the Assign Popups page, click on the popups and click Delete there. That will remove them from that group but they'll still be on the Popup Groups page and if you want to reuse them later (or change your mind) just Add them via the Assign Popups page to any Table Group and they'll be listed and work just fine.
