Opened raised

Postby Mike_ » Thu Dec 20, 2012 4:11 pm

I guess this might be a simple one but its been a long day.....

Folded round to hero who open raises
Villain 3bets
Hero 4 bet jams

My notetracker is supposed to show the range the hero is opening and not include the range he's jamming.

I'm not getting a note on this action from the hero as he's finishing the hand all in

What filter do I need to make ?

I'm a bit confused - the fact that he'd 4bet jam later shouldn't matter if you just want an open range. His 4bet jam range is just going to be a subset of his open range, so anything you see him 4bet jam with will definitely be something he's opening with. Why wouldn't you want that included?

I'd like to have separate ranges for his standard opening ranges when deep to his jamming range when short

In that case set up open ranges based on his stack size - then you'll get the data you really want ;)

I don't totally follow - doesn't that mean I won't be able to differeniate between a 4bb open and a 4bb shove?

If his effective stack is 4BB then it was a shove. If his effective stack was 10BB it was not a shove. You only shove if you bet the entire effective stack - you would want to count times the guy has a 10BB stack in the SB and everyone folds to him and the BB has a 4BB stack, after all.
