Check raise x3

Postby gennysennin » Mon Jan 21, 2013 6:03 am

How can I create a note that says me when an oppo makes a check raise x3, x4 ecc. There isn't a filter Multiple of bet as in preflop and this is a great problem.

You can't do this directly; the closest I think you can get is in the Actions Encountered With Sizes area using Percentage of Pot for the 2bet in conjunction with making sure the person check raised (they are out of position relative to you in hand details -> player position).

Excuse me, but example: Pot at flop is 1$, if oppo cbet 50% or 100% the result is different if I create a note with 2bet 100% of pot?

We'll compare two cases to see how the numbers work out.

Let's assume we have a pot of 2 on the flop (this makes math easier).

If we have a Cbet of 1 which is raised to 3 the raise is for 2 more (3 - 1) in a pot of 4 (the initial 2 + the bet and call), so you'd be facing a 2bet of 50% of the pot.

If we have a Cbet of 2 which is raised to 6 (3x), the raise is for 4 more (6 - 2) in a pot of 6 (2 + 2 + 2) so you'd be facing a 2bet of 66% (4 / 6).

However, I would encourage you to try to think about postflop situations like this regardless because your pot odds are based on how much is actually in the pot - just using a multiplier of the last bet, while convenient for preflop play, is less useful when it radically changes your pot odds. You could call a lot lighter in the first case because you only need to be good 25% of the time (if you won 1 and lost 3 you'd win 6 and lose 3 * 2 or 6), but in the second spot you need to be good 40% of the time (if you won 4 and lost 6 you'd win 4 * 6 = 24 and lose 6 * 4 = 24). That's a pretty big difference.

Ok, thanks. I'll create notes using this mode, until developers doens't create new variables (I hope soon).
