Postgres problems

I downloaded poker tracker 3 the other night, tried to connect and am getting the "Unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration" error. I have looked through previous threads here and tried to get the darned thing to work, but am not having any success. My buddy tried to help me out and I think he had me delete some things that I shouldn't have and now I'm in a world of mess. Is anyone able to help me out? Thanks in advance.

Is PostgreSQL still installed on your machine? If not you'll need to reinstall it - are you running 32 bit Windows or 64 bit Windows? If you're running 64 bit Windows there's a slightly more effective version you can run, which is why I'm asking.

I am running 64 bit. Which is the most effective version? Thank you, I appreciate the help

This installer is best for 64 bit Windows at this point - it's 9.0, 64bit. That link should start the download directly for you.
