Speed up hud (zoom)

I use Acer Extensa 5230. Upgrated RAM to 2GB.

I play 4 tables ZOOM FR. The problem is HUD sometimes takes too much time to show up. When EP and MP insta fold I need to wait few seconds to see hud showing.

I have 700k hands in my database.

I'm thinking about buying:

1) Internal hard drive (7500 rpm)
or
2) external hard drive (7500 rpm) usb 3.0 (connected via express card 34)

Is it going to help?

Given the general specs of that machine I wouldn't expect a faster harddrive to make a huge difference.
