Sure. I presume you mean Hand Details -> Player Position (as there is no Table Position filter). Let's talk about Preflop first. The first question you have to have the answer to is whose position you want to specify with the filter. If it's the player of the person you're taking the note on (e.g. you want their open raise range in MP) then you want Active Player (since in this case, they're the person whose perspective we're taking). If you want the specific position of a certain person who isn't the person we want to take the note on (e.g. you want their 3bet range when the open comes from EP) then you can specify the person whose position you want by picking them from the drop down (in this example you'd want First Raiser to pick their position). You can also use multiples of these to specify something more specific (you might want active player on the button and first raiser in EP to look at a 3bet range BTN vs EP, for example).
Once you figure that out you can then specify their position via the boxes on the bottom half. Positions are treated as numbers for this purpose. 8 is always the big blind and 9 is always the small blind (even if there are just two players). The next player added is the button who is 0. Each player added beyond that is one more - the CO is 1, the HJ is 2, and so on. You can use the various options there to pick out any range you want so you could specify that Active Player's position is between 0 and 1 -- he is either the button or cutoff (between includes the endpoints).
For postflop position you're picking one player's position relative to another as to whether they're in position or out of position. So you could specify that the first person on the flop was out of position on the first person who bet the flop (somebody check/raised), or you could specify that you are in position relative to everyone (which is a great place to be).
I hope that clarifies things for you but if something isn't clear, just let me know and I'll gladly go into any specific piece further for you.
