Incorrect Results

I've just upgraded to PT4 and have converted my PT3 database. Over 5000 tourneys so took about 10 hours.

Something has gone wrong with my tournament results. In PT3 my 'net won' is around '+ $16k' and in PT4 its '- $3k'. my total amount won is $112k so this is a massive shift in numbers as a percentage, around 20% i think. is there any reason why its imported the results differently?

I had same problem while converting base. I solved it by manually importing folder with tournaments summary files into pt4.

i use party poker, full tilt, pokerstars.com and pokerstars.fr. pokerstars.fr has not been imported at all, it has not even picked up my screen name, its like it was completely ignored. there were some errors when i converted the database but im not sure what they were.

whereabouts are the tourney summary files? willl this not create duplicates?

Without knowing what the errors were it's hard to know why the hands weren't transferred.
Since it's PokerStars that is missing, if you still have the original hand history and summary files then importing those will import all your results. If they were imported while playing using PT3 then by default they'll be in ~/Documents/PokerTracker/Processed. Use Get Hands From Disk to import them.
If not, or if you don't have all of the files there then try doing an export of the PokerStars tournaments from PT3 and import those files.

You do not need to worry about duplicates - PT4 won't import anything twice.

pokerstars.fr is missing, but this isnt the reason why the results are incorrect. i only have 100 tourneys or so on pokerstars.fr and it wouldnt adjust my roi that much.

when i win a satellite on stars for, $215 i tend to go to 'tournament > enter holdem results' and enter $215, as if i won the money itself rather than a seat. i do this because pt3 wouldnt add the seat amount and when i play the $215 tourney, pt3 would take $215 as the buyin amount. This way it balances out and the figures are correct.

Could it be that when i imported my pt3 database into pt4 its not recognising all the tourney results ive manually adjusted?

I also noticed that pt4 collects all the info regarding rebuys in rebuy tourneys and now adds them to the total buyin amount. I dont think pt3 did this properly... could it be this?

Manually entered results should be transferred from PT3 to PT4 whether you "converted" your database using the Setup Assistant or exported from PT3 and imported to PT4. If you have a case where this didn't happen we'll want to look into why that was.
Tournament detection is more advanced in PT4 and you may have more accurate results from tournament detection. Again, if you have something you think is wrong in PT4 please open a Support Ticket and tell us exactly what. If you have hand history and summaries which give the problem please attach them. If the problem occurred during conversion please tell us that and we'll let you know how to proceed.

i dont really know where to begin with this. i cant send you a file as i dont know what the problem is. all i know is that my results are way off.

i re-imported by 'get hands from disk' there was tonnes of errors, but 99% of them were unrecognized omaha hands (i dont have the omaha version), and party poker hands errors 'encountered unexpected end of hand history' and there arnt enough of these to throw my results off that much?

If you could narrow things down a little in both PT3 and PT4 to help us figure out where to go next that would be very helpful. For example, you can filter to specific dates and look on the Tournaments tab in PT3 and the Summary -> Group By Tournament report in PT4 and you can fairly quickly compare tournaments to one another. Then if you can find one or two that don't match, send us the hand history for that tournament and we'll be able to start digging into what's going on here for you.
