configure postgresql server information

just after i entered my registration code i got a window that popped up that said postgresql server info
it says server: localhost Database User: postgres port 5432 then asks for a password that i dont ever remember creating. i have downloaded the version with postgresql and i am running vist. dont really know what to do to make it work

ive done all of the things that it says to do in the tutorial and i am gettinga a message that says unable to connect to this database please check configuration

Did you or PT3 install PostgreSQL on your computer?

i think that i may have earlier with the beta version but never got it to work

Yes, could someone please acknowledge this.
I too have vista and am getting same message after I registered and opened PT3
I saw a proposed solution on another thread but that didn't work
