PLZ HELP ME GET MY NEW PT3 RUNNING

this is the error message i keep receiving:

Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT3 DB
Reason: Unable to login to database (template1). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

Did you download the version with Postgre?

try going into safe mode and deleting and re installing SQL and PT3......srsly I had this happen to me and I think thats what ended up fixing it (via APerfect10 support)

First thing is to try restarting the postgres service - Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Start Service.
Do you see a few postgres processes if you look in task manager?
Also worth trying a reboot if this does not work..

I have same problem

all worked fine. PT2 - PT3b10 - PT3B11, but i actualized from WinXP SP2 to WinXP SP3 and i have the problem

I had restart service and dont work. In success (i dont know its name in english) show me this error: FATAL: could not create lock file "postmaster.pid": Permission denied

i solved adding user postgres
