I am not sure what the "~" represents you use above. I use Finder to get to files/folders, is there another way?

I can find Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/ but there is no PokerTracker folder there so I am guessing that the "~" must represent something I do not understand.

My knowledge of the MacBook Pro operating system is limited - apologies if this is something basic/obvious but I just do not know what it is.

~ represents your home directory. So in Finder go to your user's directory (/Users/your username/) and the into the path given and you'll see what you're looking for.

I go to my home directory as directed but unfortunately there is no library folder there. I checked it on my iMac which is running PT4 and it's the same, no library folder under my home directory.

In my home directory I see the following folders:

Applications
Desktop
Documents
Google drive
Movies
Music
PSjavaClientSettings
PartyPokerDir
Public
Sites

Any other ideas?

Click Go -> Go to Folder and put the path in there and it will open the folder you want. It's there, just hidden (it exists by default on all OS X installations).

It says the folder can't be found. I did this using the path names:

Macintosh HD/users/(my user name)/Library/Application Support/PokerTracker/Config/
~/Library/Application Support/PokerTracker/Config/

Any other ideas?

The correct path is:

~/Library/Application Support/PokerTracker
