Syncing HH - 2 Computers

Postby azabs000 » Tue Aug 27, 2013 11:33 am

So i found this which tells me how i can sync my HHs.

https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/PT4 ... -computers

I'm using Google Drive to sync my "Processed" folder, but i can't even manage to get through the 1st step! lol
I right click on the "Processed" folder and go to share, and the only options i get are: Nobody, Homegroup (Read), Homegroup (Read/Write) and Specific people.
I'm pretty dumb with this stuff so i have no idea what im meant to click. Where to i find the Share to Google Drive part?
If i drag and drop it into google drive then i have no "processed' folder in my PT4 folder anymore... is that ok?

feel pretty dumb right now!
hope someone can help me :)

You can redirect the Processed folder to go to the Google Drive by changing the directory location in Configure -> Sites & Import Options -> Preferences. Just click the (...) button and change the folder to wherever your Google Drive is. You'll probably want to put it in a subfolder of the Google Drive though.

Ok thanks for your help with that. I did that on both my computer and laptop and then clicked on "Get Hands while playing" assuming that now when i look at my graphs for this month it will both look exactly the same but it doesn't. Am i missing something else to be able to have all hands and graphs to be the same on both accounts when i play?

You will also want to run a manual import on that folder on both machines to get everything up to date, and each time you play on one machine you'll need to also import the processed hands from the other machine (that will be in that folder) in order to keep things synchronized.

Something seriously messed up has now happened and i have no idea what i've done....
it seems as though everything is inverted now, eg. i just won 2 6man sngs for 12$ each, and after refreshing my pokertracker graph, its now actually showing that i LOST 24$, not gained.... wtf?

That sounds like PT4 couldn't contact our currency server to get the daily rates - when that happens, we use a conversion rate of -1 to make it clear that there's an error. Go into Database -> Currency, highlight the affected tournaments and click Set Rates and that will most likely fix things for you.

Make sure your firewall has an exception for PT4 - it sounds like it may still be blocking our connection to our servers.
