Every ten seconds I'm getting:

23/09/2013 22:32:48.716 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.edb.launchd.postgresql-9.0[1179]) Exited with code: 1
23/09/2013 22:32:48.716 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.edb.launchd.postgresql-9.0) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

I've had this for the past two hours, which coincides with when I couldn't access PT4

Then it's trying to start the server and failing. Did you change the permissions on anything? If so, change it back to the defaults and that should help.

The permissions for what? The only permissions I've changed are the ones I needed to alter to make amendments to the config files, and then they have been changed back to what they were.

I'm not at my computer now, but if it's as simple as me changing a config file to 'No Access' in error then I'll feel pretty stupid! I'll update later...

I did that a few times myself when getting used to the system on Mac OS so if you've done it don't feel bad.

If you still can't get it started up, create a support ticket requesting remote assistance and linking this thread and we'll get you sorted out. That'll probably be easiest at this point that continuing the back and forth.

Well I've just filed a ticket because the permissions are correct and I'm still getting errors. I can't see anything I've done incorrectly. How long is the turnaround to get a session? I'm obviously stuck without PT until it's all sorted.

As long as you're available during normal business hours, I'm sure we'll be able to fit you in over the next couple of days somewhere. I'll push it along so that it gets a quicker response for you also.

Thanks kraada. I've just received a response from tech support, so thanks for pushing it along for me.
