Suitable Version Of Windows For VM

Postby Herr_Someone » Sat Sep 28, 2013 9:35 am

I'm on OSX 10.8.5, and I have been wanting to play Zoom games with a HUD. To test it all out I used VirtualBox and a copy of Windows Server 2003 was kindly lent to me to get it up and running. I had some problems with it and there is a lengthy thread dedicated to it. It ended with some remote assistance to get it all set up. When testing, the HUD didn't display, so I raised a support ticket and was then told "oh WIndows Server 2003 isn't supported with Zoom HUDs". :? :x

It's all been a bit of a waste of time it seems, and the amount of playing time I've lost over it has been ridiculous. It seems as though I'm going to have to drop the moneys on a copy of WIndows and hope that I enjoy the games so much that it gets the use. My question is, which versions of Windows are actually suitable to use with the Zoom HUD, via a VM, on OSX 10.8.5? I wouldn't like to think that the copy I have is the only version that is incompatible, as that is seriously my luck.

Any normal home version of Windows will be fine - XP, Vista, 7 and 8 all work.
