Updated to 4.11 now stuck "updating database"

One of them is fluctuating in the range of 0-13 (per cent or what ever units those are supposed to be), but most of the time it remains in the range of 0-5.

That sounds like they're still working away. Just let it keep going.

I am trying to do the update on my mac but am worried it may not be working correctly as I was forced to close (sleep) the laptop multiple times to take a long flight. PT4 is showing up in activity monitor using 1% CPU, 14 threads, 160MB virtual memory but no sign of postgresql. My database has about 500k hands and the update has been running for maybe 10hrs. Restart or stick with it?

Make sure you are showing processes from all users -- the postgres processes aren't run by your normal user so you need to see processes from all users in order ot see them.

Ahhh ok yeah there are like 12 postgres' running taking 12-15% of CPU so I assume this means the update is still updating. I'll leave it be, thanks.

Been running for like 40hrs now…surely a 500k hand database shouldn't take this long?

That definitely seems like too long. End the process, update to 4.11.1 and run the following Housekeeping functions in order on your database and it should restore proper function:
Rebuild Cache
Reindex
Cluster
Vacuum Analyze

I completed database update in over 40 hours, I ran cache rebuild which took another 2 days. Now I installed the v4.11.1 and PT4 still doesn't work (i.e. is importing hands veeery slowly and doesn't show the HUD). What's the next thing I should do to fix this?

PT4 CPU usage at 0%
Postgress is active at around 7%

Running now for about 12hrs, not sure the DB size. Should I stop it and do the housekeeping or keep waiting?

Pleasefold: That sounds like it's still working. If your database is large it may still complete.
