Try to revert your PostgreSQL Tuning first (Database -> Database Management -> Housekeeping -> Revert PostgreSQL Tuning) and then try to rebuild the cache again to see if that works for you.

When trying to get you the neccessary info from PGAdmin III I couldn't find magnifying glass in it's toolbar. It appears I have the older PostgreSQL database version 8.4. Is that the reason and I should update it?
