after update to 4.11 PT4 doesn't work

After updating to 4.11 every time I try to do a database update the process lasts 24hrs+ w/o finishing.

How can I fix this problem every day that passes w/o the ability to use Pt4 is costing me a good deal of money.

EDIT: I should note I have a very strong computer and a medium sized database

Yep. So back on 4.11.2 and I still cannot rebuild the cache. Same ERRORS as shown in my previous post. Is my database corrupted? Are some of my custom stats corrupted? Nothing imports. My HuD and everything is completely screwed up since I upgraded to 4.11.6 and then downgraded back to 4.11.2.
Giving you an idea of my overall experience since these updates: 4.11.1 and 4.11.2 worked fine for me. I have a beast of a computer and although I noticed slower than normal import speeds these still seemed stable. 4.11.3 imported but HuD was screwed up. HERO and Villain stats did not update in game. I then downgraded back to 4.11.2 and considering all the problems people were complaining about over the .3, .4, and .5 I just stayed on .2 until yesterday when I decided to take a leap of faith and downloaded 4.11.6. Since downloading and trying to rebuild my cache in 4.11.6 I have failed. I'm completely unable to rebuild cache and get the errors posted on the previous page. After much frustration I downgraded back to 4.11.2. I STILL am unable to rebuild cache and I cannot import hands, etc. EVERYTHING is a mess now and the previous version of 4.11.2 which worked for me before no longer seems to work:(

4.11.6 completely screwed up my Pokertracker 4. I downgraded back to 4.11.2 which was the one I was using before and had been working OK for me and now I cannot even update my Cache on 4.11.2. Before I could play and do just fine on that one.

I found 4.10.9 somewhere and downgraded even further and was finally able to rebuild my cache again.

No idea if it will work in game but at this point I don't know what else to do and I'm sick of all these unstable and slow updates.

In regards to the Pokertracker developers; I'd like to say to you guys that I was a long time user of HoldemManager 1 and TableNinja 1(still use) but I made the switch over to your product when HM2 was unreliable and felt incomplete and rushed in development.

Since making that switch I've been quite content and happy with the way PokerTracker has been updated and developed and endorsed it to all my friends.

I have to say a lot of these recent updates remind me of the ways a lot of the products are handled over there at HM2; rushed and incomplete going for the cash grab IMO

I don't know if these updates were rushed or pushed to please your 3rd party premium addon companies. Either way I think it's pretty clear they were not battle tested and rushed out of the gate. I'd appreciate if you guys could get back to what made you guys a superior product and company. I realize now you're quickly trying to fix your mistakes and I'm able to forgive you all for that but in the future please don't rush out an update such as 4.11.x to appease your 3rd party vendors while your loyal customers suffer in the process in using a buggy incomplete update.

Downgrading was just a clusterf**k. Nothing imported correctly. I then upgraded back to 4.11.6 and this time upgraded my Postgres from 9.0 to 9.3. Still unable to rebuild the cache in 4.11.6 and unable to import as well. The only thing I would like to mention about my previous ERRORs. They seem to be coming from cash game "$" custom stat columns. I never created any cash game custom stat columns to begin with but when I go into Statistics and search for them they appear in the cash game columns and resemble my stacksize "customs for tourneys. Anyway, when I try to validate these columns I get the message; "This statement is not a valid SQL." Maybe this could be causing some problems although I did the obvious thing and deleted them all including the "Custom" cash game stats that they work with and still my PT4 will not function. I don't know where to go from here.........HELP!!!!!

If you haven't already, please update to v4.11.6.

Please review the Release Notes for this version before updating.

If your database is massive then it's possible it will take more than 24 hours - how big is it?
Please run with logging enabled next time (Tutorial: Reporting a problem) and send us the log file via a Support Ticket so that we can see what is going on.

But how we can have wrong columns?, If not validated, cant save.
when updating to 4.11, something did not work. Some statistics were corrupted.
when we upgrade something did not work.
I think the converted Statistics (MTT cash or vice versa) have something to do

After making the change you listed above I was able to finally rebuild my cache in 4.11.6. I then imported some hands that failed to import yesterday and they imported correctly with no real LAG.

I will report back tomorrow when I actually try a live session. One thing to note is that I never created those custom cash columns. I did make tourney customs that were still SQL approved but no idea about these cash columns. Regardless, replacing cash_blinds with cash_limit seemed to solve a lot of my problems:) Thanks.

One more thing. My DB is located on port 5433 now. Will I have any problems on that port? I think the default port from before was 5432 but for me to get Postgres 9.3 installed I installed to a new port and then uninstalled the old postgres 9.0 and recovered my pokerDB onto this new port. It seems ok. Just want to make sure. Thanks.

I mentioned it a few pages back, probably lost in the sea of posts - "cash_blinds" gets invented by the "convert statistic to cash" option, presumably the 4.11 update converts tourney stats to cash for some reason. Or users don't notice the "tournament" radio button when importing a tournament hud.
