import frozen

Postby junks » Wed Jun 04, 2014 7:23 pm

I have a new laptop i7 16GB RAM SSD PT4.11.6

Started to import 1 year of PS HH's in a folder of 10 files, and it has looked frozen like this for 4 hours. Should I END TASK? It is hovering around 17%-18% CPU and 130MB RAM

Yes, if it hasn't updated for that long then you'll need to stop it.
Please enable logging (Configure > Options) and restart PT4 before you try importing the files again - I expect it will work but if it gets stuck again attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a Support Ticket so that we can find out what the problem is.

Also, I asked PS for Tournament Summaries and it's in .html file, is this correct for PT4 import? I want rebuy/addon to be correct.

The html summaries which PokerStars support send are not yet supported, but I believe that the development team are looking into that. Please compress the summary file you were sent along with one of your tournament hand history files and attach it to a Support Ticket so that we can pass the example on to the development team and let you know when support is added.

Please send us your example - it will help the development team add support. Currently you will need to request an audit file in CSV format (from the PokerStars lobby 'Requests' menu) in order to be able to import to PT4, but PokerStars only supply those for the last couple of years.

It's not really frozen. I mean interface is but not import. To refresh it click a few times (to hide and show the app again) on PT4 icon in your taskbar and be prepared for a slight delay for PT4 window to show up.

It used to give me terrible headache and frustration before i figure it out. Happens to me almost every time i manually import a bunch of HH.

Cheers :)

For only 100k hands it was still frozen after 8 hours... and that trick you mentioned didn't work.

Then you can end the process via task manager. Do send us the files though so that we can make sure whatever caused this problem gets fixed.
