PostgreSQL 8.4 is supported - but make sure you have the latest version 8.4.21 (the Directions here refer to updating 8.3 but the process is the same for 8.4).

I believe that the error in your screenshot is fixed for the next release, which I expect to be out early next week if everything goes according to plan. In the meantime if you turn the cache flag off for any columns referring to "id_holecard" the cache should rebuild OK.

pokertracker doesnt work after upadting to 4.11.6. when i try to rebuild cache pokertracker freezes

If your database is very large and your system is not powerful then you may not see any progress initially - how long have you let it run for?

When you're not using PT4 for a while please enable logging (Configure > Options) and restart PT4. Make a Backup of just the default Optional Files (no databases) now.
Attempt to rebuild the cache and leave it to run for an hour or more. If you don't see any progress by that time attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a Support Ticket so that we can see what is going on, and attach the backup file too so that we can experiment with your custom stats.

My PT4 isn't working either. Would it be an option to just delete my PT4 and HH database and re-install from scratch? Would I just run in the same problems?

This solved my problem. New pt4 works now, after a short test (yet :)) much much better.

well after 5 full days of watching it update, it still wasnt done, and my computer went off so the progress got cancelled..
anyway i backed up the db, then deleted all DBs, and it seems to at least be working again.
I guess i'll update when im out for vacation or something :?

Uninstalling PT4 won't make any difference, and could cause complications.
You could try a new database (Database > Database Management) but if you tell us exactly what is and isn't working for you we'll be able to give you more specific answer.

The update is unlikely to need that long, but if you have multiple large databases, lots of custom stats (or inefficient stats) and a less powerful computer it's possible. Without more information it's hard to give you a more detailed suggestion, but if it's working in your new database you may find it better to re-import to your new database (this will apply the import fixes which have been made since you originally imported too).
