How to "apply" new note rules?

Postby walter1953 » Tue Aug 12, 2014 1:49 pm

Hi,

I just bought PT4. Now I have all the auto-notes that were pre defined (default) on several players.

I spent the whlole day changing several note rules, unchecking few notes which I don't want to have and created several note rules on my own.

I am now playing and the notes on players are still the same, as they were before (which I don't wanted to). But if I go to Notetracker to the "edit" page, they are still the same as I changed them.

I guess I need to "apply" the new rules but I don't know how I do that?
Is it possible at all?
Or do I have to purge all hands and import them new?

thanks in advance

Go to the Status page and purge all notes, then all hands will be reprocessed with the definitions as you have them now.

Right, I did this (processed % was 0) and then clicked on "Run" and it took about 7hrs.

So when I now add a single new note I have to do the same like above (purge all, re-run again for hrs) if I want it to apply for all hands (not only for coming hands)?

That's true. However, the notes are processed in reverse time order and they are processed in the background anytime you play, so you always have the most important data first and the older data will fill in over time. After a session or two it will catch up.
