Support People's poker.

Postby patrik90 » Sat Nov 29, 2014 4:57 am

2 questions here:
1) Is there any chance we can get PT4 mac version working (HH and HUD) with People's poker.it?

I think it's feasible since the software stores HHs in a format similar to Pokerstars'.
At the moment many people use some shareware third-part software to convert HHs in a compatible format and use HEM in order to get an HUD, us mac users instead don't have any method to get PT4 working.

2) I was thinking about coding myself a little hand converter for mac users too in order to make PT4 able to import HHs. But my main concern is: will PT4 provide an HUD then?

P.S.
I've just googled a little bit and found this answer by Kraada (Jul 25, 2013)
"As you've figured out, we do not support the People's Network. It does not look like that network is large enough for us to add support without subsidization - if the network came to us and was interested in doing that, we would be happy to work with them. To my knowledge, they have never contacted us, though."

Have you changed your mind/are there any news?

Maybe this is against the T.O.S. of PT4 (I don't think so though), but there are many guides online on how to make PT4 work with People's poker network, (http://it.pokerstrategy.com/forum/threa ... did=112878), they basically suggest to use an HH converter and then make PT4 think it's 888.
Will the HUD work under this scenario?

Sorry if these questions may seem inappropiate! But afterall I'm just asking for a site support and how to get PT4 working with it!

1. There is no further update on adding support for Peoples Poker. It may help if you contact the network and tell them that you would like them to speak with us in regards to adding support. If they wish us to add support they need to contact us and we will happily talk to them about it.

2. You can import converted hands into PokerTracker 4 but we do not provide support for them. If you are able to convert hands into a format accepted by PokerTracker 4 there is no guarantee that the HUD will work.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to contact the support and tell them to contact PT staff.

Ok, there's no guarantee the HUD will work; realistically do you think it could work if I manage to import the hands in another format? The HHs are similar to pokerstars ones, but I'm worried PT won't start the HUD since it "doesn't see" pokerstars running. I mean if there's no chance it will work I won't even spend time writing a HH converter  I'd just like to hear your opinion, no guarantees.

I would think it would be unlikely that the HUD would work but it would not matter whether PokerStars is running or not. Basically PokerTracker 4 matches the table name with an accompanying hand history file to place a HUD on the tables.
