If you're experiencing incredibly slow import speeds, please enable logging, reproduce this problem, then attach the PokerTracker.log file to a support ticket. Be sure to reference this thread.

I am currently experiencing this same issue. As I type this actually, PT3 is importing hands and is going very slow. It almost appears to be slowing down as it goes along. I am only importing like 100K hands (the amount of hands ive observed the past couple days). It started off fast and now its going slow. Im at 37K at this very second and it is slowly ticking up towards the 100K+. It started out the import very fast, but it has been hours now and its going slow. At this pace it might be another full day before it finishes. Any idea what I should do?

I have Core 2 Quad Q9300, 4GB Ram, 700 GB HD (7200speed), 64 bit Vista.

I'm trying to convert a PT2 database w/approx. 850k hands. It's been running for 4.5 hrs now, and it's been stuck on 69k hands imported for about the last 2 hrs. The h/s as been steadily dropping, and is now down to 4.1 h/s, while the time remaining keeps going up and is now almost 55 hrs.

I tried to stop the import, but it won't stop. So what do I do, leave it like this for a week? Also, my hard drive has a sector going bad (need to replace it soon), so the odds of it actually making it that long before the machine freezes at some point is ~ 0% or there abouts.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like it's stuck, and you'll have to kill the process and restart it.
It might be worth noting which file it has got stuck on in case it causes the same problem again, then you can send it to us to see what the problem is.

Ok I did this, but what happens now? Will I get an answer once it's fixed?

You can keep an eye on the status of My Tickets, but you will usually get a response when the ticket is closed, but please bear in mind how many tickets there are - if Josh has several reporting the same thing you may not all get a personal response.
Fixes will be listed in the release notes of each new build.
