RE: ICM

Postby dangereux333 » Sat Dec 20, 2014 1:51 pm

Hi:

I would like to know if there is a tutorial video for ICM... how to use the ICM calculator. That's the first question.

Second, I play 6 max sit-n-go games... and when I tried to review certain hands... At times, the hand history include ICM info... But not always ?!?!

I would like to know what gives...

Thank you,

We do not currently have a tutorial video for the ICM calculator. For some further explanation please refer to this thread. Are any of these multi-table SNG's? What site(s) do you play? ICM calculations can only be performed for final table hands and if all the prizes are known. Some sites don't provide this information, so unless you play at a site where you have a full summary including prizes up to first place then the calculations can't be done.

HI:

I play 6 max sit n go .... Turbo at PokerStars. Does ICM calculater work ??

I have seen the ICM data from one of those hand histories at one point... I was pretty sure it was one of those sit-n-god... I don't play tournaments as much.

Is there a calculator that lets me enter the pot size, my hand ... and the range of my opponent's hand and to a comprehensive calculation ?

Is there a way to import a particular player's hand range into calculation ??

I know very little about ICM or those calculations. Don't know how much sense my questions make.

Thank you for your patience,

Yes, the ICM Calculator should work for 6-max SNGs.

You can't import a range into the calculator, but you can define player models (via the Configure menu) and specify how the ranges are defined for different player types. These only affect the push/fold calculations though - the actual ICM calculations are based on a specific hand, not a range.
