Poker Tracker is using 95-100% CPU on MacBook Air

Thanks that helps. I've only got 45,000 hands so it looks like I'm good. That was my biggest worry about the Air - using PT4 (that and a separate hard drive for photo's and videos). Looks like I can open the box!

Same problem here.

I'm running PT 4.12.1 on OS X 10.9.5 and my MBP hast 4GB of RAM and 2,4 GHz Intel processor. My database is stored on my local machine, is just 14 MB in size and contains less than 1000 hands.

If I start the Import the CPU usage of PT4 increases to 98% and marking hands or even clicking buttons becomes nearly impossible.

I'm not 100% sure but I did not remember to have this problem with previous versions of PT4.

Go into Tools -> NoteTracker. On the Status tab what does it say there? If you've added NoteTracker notes and it has hands to process that can cause CPU spikes until the hands are worked through.

The Status says "Processed 582 of 582 Hands. (100.00% Complete)" and I'm still experiencing the same problems.

A database of that size shouldn't cause any problems, especially just starting up PT4. Please open a Support Ticket and report your problem so that we can check your logs and see what is going on.
