Converted PT 2 databse into PostgreSQL

Postby Kevin86 » Tue May 27, 2008 8:01 am

Hi,

I just converted my PT 2 databse into a PostgreSQL databse. But I forgot the tilte I used for the converted database(I used the default tilte).

How can I upload the converted datasbase into PT 3?

Any help appreciated,

When you fire up PT3 when it goes to connect to the specific DB one of the Bbuttons will say "this database already exists". Click on that to browse and you'll see the converted DB available to select.

PokerTracker 3 cannot read PokerTracker 2 databases, even if they are in PostgreSQL. The reason for this is, in short, that the databases are built differently. You need to export your hands from your PT2 database (Utilities --> Export Hand History to File...) and then import those hands into a new PokerTracker 3 database (Import --> Manual Import --> Import From Directory).

I did, but for some reason I miss a lot of hands and sessions. Also get alot of errors.

I thought I read something from a moderator who wrote that if you convert your databse you could load it into PT 3...

PT3 does not yet support all the sites supported by PT2 so will not import hands played at those sites.
Would that account for the missing hands?
Please compare stats site by site.

Otherwise, what errors did you get?
Can you identify some hands that were not imported?
