Observed hands PT2-PT3 alternative

Postby diesel007 » Thu Jan 31, 2008 1:08 am

Right now I have like 500K OBSERVED hands without HH. It took me like 2 hours to put all hands in PT3 and all that got there is just MY PERSONAL hands, no OBSERVED 500K hands(((.
So the Q is:
I want to start playing pocker using PT3. Let's say from now on, I will mine hands into PT3 and play my hands under PT3. But in order for me to do that, I need to use those OBSERVED hands from PT2 DB to see stats of all those players.
How would I do that?
And will I be able to import those OBSERVED hands from PT2 to PT3 in near future(or when final version will be ready?)
Thanks alot.

There is an option in the PokerTracker 2 auto-import window to save hand histories for observed hands. Enable this option and you should have no problem converting your observed hands from PT2->PT3.

Stars does prohibit this; however, Full Tilt does not. All you need to do on FTP is open the observed tables and PT will import the hands...

I think, you guys, didn't understand me. I'll try to explain simple:
Let's say I start today to work with PT3. I sit at tables, play, import these hands into PT3, then I get off, start mining(using PT3). I understand all that, but what I want is:
When I sit down at table and play with others, how will I see stats on them that ARE IN PT2 DATABASE, because I datamined them without saving actual hand histories. It's like 500k hands. How will I be able to see them, sitting at the table with PT3(not PT2) running. All I was been able to import from PT2 to PT3 is only MY personal hands.
I hope I made more clear this time. Sorry.

Currently, if you were not saving the hand histories you cannot import them into PokerTracker 3.

We are hoping to eventually have a conversion for non-saved hand history data in your PT2 database but that is a large task and is currently not available.

Has this function been added in Beta 5 or not yet?
Thanks.

No, the non-hand history conversion has not been added.
