I'm not sure what "PM" means. Where should I be looking for your instructions?

At the top left part of the page where it says "User Control Panel" it should say that you have a new message. Click on it.

I can't find the message you sent me with FTP instructions, since I first read it. It's buried somewhere in the "User Control Panel". Not quite sure why you used this control panel instead of the main message thread but I can't find it. Anyhow, I used your instructions to attempt to FTP the database to you several times this past week and continue to get the following message from the FTP client.

The server forcibly closed the connection.
This normally results from a loss of the connection due to a timeout or a server reboot.
1) Please try connecting to the server again later.
2) You may verify that the problem is not local by trying to connect to an alternate server.

Somehow, I'm not surprised. Please let me know what to do. Thanks.

Because I don't want to give you a user name and a password on a public forum that's why.

You need to change the host value because we have since changed servers since I sent you the PM 9 days ago. I'll PM you with the new one.

Please also email to me at support at pokertracker dot com about 5-6 of your tournament hand history files. I probably won't have time to look at this until Tuesday.

I imported these files you sent into your database today and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. I basically imported some 400 hands that you sent in about the same time it was taking yours to import 5 hands (based on the log you posted in a previous post), about 50 seconds to load all these hands on my computer.

I can't see anything wrong with your setup either.

Was the log file you posted before done when PokerAce was NOT running? If it was then I don't know what would be causing this type of slowness during the imports. The database is fine. I would suggest then that you start a new database to import your hands into now. PokerAce has the ability to combine/display the data from multiple databases so you can still use that program.

To start a new db, use the File > Maintain Database Names window.
Click the Add button. Enter a description and select "Create new, empty Access database" from the list in the last field.
Click OK to save the changes.
Now, use the Utilities > Convert Database option to convert this new db to PostgreSQL.
Go back to the File > Maintain Database Names window and check the "Dflt" box next to the new database entry for this new PostgreSQL db.
Click OK to save again.
Now close and reopen PT and you will be ready to start importing into this new db.
