PokerTracker.exe has ancountered a problem...

Postby WoolyHat » Sun Feb 03, 2008 4:01 pm

I'm trying to import ~500k observed hands from tilt and party into beta 3. So far it's crashed 5 times during imports. The application freezes and I get the MS "PokerTracker.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" error reporting dialog. I've been trying to get enough details or make it reproducable, but I'm struggling as it's not consistently crashing in the same place.

I'm importing from Hand History files, using manual import->import from directory. The first time, 169,904 hands had been imported when the crash happened. I restarted the application (and set it going again, just pointing it at the same directory with the same set of hand histories. It went over the 169,904 duplicates and then managed to import a further 179,901 hands at which point it crashed again.

After those attempts, I then rebooted the computer. The next go it crashed much sooner, though I don't ahve the exact number of hands it grabbed before the crash. Once again, I moved the processed hand histories and tried again. This time it managed 18,403 before crashing.

The computer is really new. Running Windows XP. I've pretty much installed nothing on it. Just stars, tilt, eurobet, postgres, PT2, PAHUD and Firefox. I previously had Beta 1 installed, which seemed much more stable, and upgraded straight from there to beta 3. I didn't remove beta 1 first, just installed straight over it. I've since uninstalled, and started from a clean install of beta 3 and it still crashes.

I don't really know what other information to provide... it seems really random. Any thoughts?

Would you be able to zip and upload the hands to us via FTP? We might be able to reproduce it using your hand histories.

Sure, no problem. It's about a 67Mb zip. Where do you want me to FTP to?
