Basic DB conversion question

Postby skoldpadda » Tue Jun 17, 2008 6:44 pm

Under Utilities --> PostgreSQL Settings, what should I list for the entries?

ODBC Entry to Use (ANSI or Unicode)
Encoding (SQL_ASCII or Unicode)

Do I need to set a user name and password or can I just leave it blank? (on PT3 I have the suggested/default name and pwrd)

Do I need to change "Port" from 5432? (this is what I have for PT3 so I would guess not)

Thanks

Set both to Unicode.

Use the same for PTS.

Use 5432.

I don't recall...what was the password?

I see user is postgres, and password is 6 letters but I don't recall it.

I don't know what your password would be since you set it up. You don't remember it? You said you used what PT3 suggested for the user name and password so try that.
