Notecaddy crashing every 10 minutes

Postby sp00ky » Thu Jul 25, 2024 5:31 am

Hi,
my notecadddy is crashing since update 4.18.
I´m using sql 12.18 and created a new database and reimported hands after the update.

I get this popup every 10 minutes and have to restart notecaddy.

I got this answer from support:
" Apparently Note Caddy has been discontinued, at least the version that runs with PokerTracker4. And NC is definitely is not updated for the newest PokerTracker4 64-bit releases so it could only be used on PokerTracker4 versions before 4.18.

However our site admin also says NC won't be getting any more updates, so if as you say you had this trouble before PokerTracker4 4.18 NC won't be getting fixes for problems even with the older PokerTracker4 versions. "

Hello,

Effectively Notecaddy is being discontinued and we are unable to provide further updates to it.

We do still offer support and troubleshooting options to the issues that NC faces but it will only get harder to keep it working as time moves forward as there will not be any updates for it anymore.

With the PT4 update that required to update postgresSQL we were able to get Notecaddy still running with any version that is below 12.2.

Notecaddy was running fairly stable in versions just before this PT4 update. But it is unadvisable to ask to rollback PT4 to previous versions so we can still use Notecaddy although this would seem like the only option at the moment to avoid running into these unexpected shutdowns.

Best wishes,
