Ongame - trouble with importing hands

Postby zoidberg » Thu Jun 26, 2008 11:38 am

Hi!

I recently switched to hollywood poker. I created a statistics file and entered the directory of the database folder under "Directories Configuration" in the Ongame Configuration for the auto import. When I start the import something like this appears:

2008/06/26 15:31:39: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.db
2008/06/26 15:31:39: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.db
2008/06/26 15:31:39: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.db
2008/06/26 15:31:40: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.04fe5208.db
2008/06/26 15:31:41: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.04fe5208.04410700.db
2008/06/26 15:31:41: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.04fe5208.04410700.04fe6e38.db
2008/06/26 15:31:43: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.04fe5208.04410700.04fe6e38.04fe9a90.db
2008/06/26 15:31:44: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.04fe5208.04410700.04fe6e38.04fe9a90.04fe9b40.db
2008/06/26 15:31:46: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.04fe5208.04410700.04fe6e38.04fe9a90.04fe9b40.04fea640.db

This goes on for a while before an error message pops up which says: "Failed to copy the file C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.04f35e68.04fdfed8.04fe5208.04410700.04fe6e38.04fe9a90.04fe9b40.0[.......]"

I also tried to manually import the hands but i did not work because PT found 0 hands to import.

I really dont know what I am doing wrong here. Thanks for your help!

Are you on Vista?
Are you running all poker applications as administrator?
This sounds like a file permission error - like maybe the database file is in use so another one is created, which gets opened and locked, so another one is created...

Yes

Yes I do

What I forgot to mention in my first post: I imported hands from iPoker and it worked fine.

Can you give me any advice what I can do to fix the problem? I really dont know what else I should try.

You could try playing a session and not auto-importing, and check that a .db file is created.
Then after you close the table (and probably the Hollywood software) start auto import and see if that works. Or the same with manual import.

the .db file always gets created

unfortunately this doesnt work as well, I tried it before

If you have any more ideas on how I can get the hands imported please let me know. I will try to fix the problem on my own in the meantime and let you know if and how i did it.

I also think that vista causes the problem but I already tried to change all the configurations that might cause the problem, nothing worked though.

Thanks for your help so far!

Yes, my guess would be that it's a Vista problem, but I don't have experience with that.
I know that you need to make sure all your poker software is run as administrator, or that you turn off UAC.

so I installed beta 13 today and now the type of error has changed. It says:

2008/07/01 00:53:53: OnGame: Starting auto-import.
2008/07/01 00:53:53: OnGame: Found 1 files to monitor.
2008/07/01 00:53:53: OnGame: Loading hand history file: C:\Program Files\HollywoodPoker\Resources\Databases\history.db

but after that it stops. I tried the manual import as well but it didnt work either. Any experiences with that kind of problem?

Thank you!

Do you mean the import stops, or that nothing more happens?
Is Hollywood installed in English?

I meant that nothing more happens so it doesnt really stop until I stop it by myself

And have you played hands, or just observed?

If you have played some, please zip that .db file and attach it to the Support system , and link to this thread.
